pSaysay Volunteer Named as One of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines


The Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) Foundation named Project Saysay volunteer Kevin Facun as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines in Malacañan Palace on 23 April 2018. He graduated Electronics Engineering from Bulacan State University, Malolos, Bulacan in 2017. He was also the immediate past Editor in Chief of Pacesetter, the official student publication of the aforementioned university.

TOSP is a search program inaugurated in 1961 in celebration of Jose Rizal’s birth centenary. Facun now joins the list of notable Filipino awardees of the search such as former Commission on Higher Education chair Patricia Licuanan, former Education Secretary and Senator Raul Roco, Senator Rene Saguisag, and former National Historical Institute Chairman and Executive Director Pablo Trillana III.

Facun is part of the marketing team of Project Saysay which strategizes partnership and collaboration with other institutions.
