Project Saysay Volunteer Wins Big in a Label Design Competition
Depicting the heart of a true Filipino hero, Jhon Gorme secured the third spot at the first ever Tanduay Tibay ng Bayani Label Design Competition on 12 May 2018.
The design, according to him, is inspired by the concept that the nation, above all else, is in the beating heart of the hero: within the hero burns a fire, a desire, the passion to serve others before oneself.
Winners of the said competition were selected based on 80% judges’ votes and 20% public votes. Gorme also takes home PhP15,000 cash prize. Gorme hails from Bacoor, Cavite and is a part of the Project Saysay Design team. The said team is responsible for generating online posts on Project Saysay’s social media platforms—the advocacy’s commitment to contribute sensible and accurate online materials that are shareable and attune to the needs of time.
Some of Gorme’s artworks were featured on Project Saysay’s official Facebook page during the National Literature Month last April.
