ProjectSaysay Donates Posters to Foreign Service Institute

Foreign Service Institute Officer-in-Charge Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat receives copies of ProjectSaysay posters from John Paul Mondejar.

ProjectSaysay turned over a batch of posters bearing the portraits and the words of wisdom of great Filipinos to the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) at the Carlos P. Romulo Library on 31 October 2018.

The posters of Jose Rizal, Apolinario Mabini, Andres Bonifacio, Mariano Ponce, Marcelo del Pilar, Gregoria de Jesus, Gliceria Marella de Villavicencio, Clemencia Lopez, Emilio Jacinto and Hadji Butu will be displayed at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to serve as an inspiration to all those who will visit one of the Philippine Government's premier agencies.

The posters were personally handed over by ProjectSaysay representative and the Economic Division Desk Officer of the DFA-Office of United Nations and International Organizations John Paul Mondejar to Foreign Service Institute Officer-in-Charge Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat.

During the turn over, Vinzon-Balatbat said that the posters will add to FSI’s growing collection of Filipiniana materials.

Project Saysay's donation of posters is a timely initiative as the Philippines celebrates National Libraries and Public Information Services in November.

The posters are part of the series featuring 25 great Filipinos which were launched on 22 May 2018 at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and on 23 October 2018 at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

The Foreign Service Institute is the DFA’s prime training and research institute for Philippine foreign policy, diplomacy, and related fields, and its center for language learning.
